How to tell if my A/C Compressor is going bad? The A/C Compressor is the heart of the A/C System on all Vehicles. When you press the A/C button on the dash you expect cold air to blow in the cabin. What happens if that does not happen? There may be some warning signs you did hear that told you the A/C Compressor was going bad. Did you notice a strange noise when you turned on the A/C? Was there a strange smell? Did you hear the RPM change when you turn on the A/C? All of these are signs that A/C Compressor may be going bad. Is the vehicle getting as cold as it used to? Does it take longer to get cold? Does it start out cold then get warm? These could be signs that the A/C System is having trouble doing its job. Not all these symptoms are going to point to an A/C Compressor, but they can tell you that something is wrong. If you notice any of these symptoms then give us a call.
